About GCDS

30 Years Experience in Private Early Childhood Education

Glenwood Country Day School has been providing private early childhood education to children for more than 30 years. Our program is situated on a beautiful 40 acre property with many amenities for children to experience throughout the day. This setting meshes perfectly with our multi-sensory learning programs and is surprisingly less expensive than many traditional day care centers.

Our challenging, child-centered, academic program emphasizes a strong foundation in the basics, the development of critical thinking skills, and applied problem solving. The learning day is composed of language arts, math, science, and social studies. Along with these classes children also explore art, music, computers, and physical education daily.

Glenwood Country Day School is proud to be accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education.

We Want EVERY Child to Feel Excited About Learning!

Our individualized teaching approach gives all children the opportunity to grow and have fun through learning. We recognize that children learn differently and our curriculum is individualized to meet each child where they are in their development and learning abilities. Tuning in on their strengths and exploring ways to nurture and expand on their learning styles.

The Perfect Learning Environment

Our community of families and staff work to provide a safe, structured, inclusive setting that supports, encourages and inspires each child. We want children to have a lasting love for learning that grows and expands with their education.
